What follows is what actually happens, week by week, from the moment you authorize us to look at your utility accounts.

A Developments CS engagement runs in six phases: account onboarding, data ingestion and baseline, finding pipeline, recovery and optimization, reporting and verification, and continuous monitoring. The first round of confirmed findings typically lands within two to four weeks of authorization. Recovery dollars begin landing on accounts within sixty to one hundred twenty days, depending on the finding class and utility processing speed. Continuous monitoring then runs indefinitely after the initial recovery cycle to catch new bill errors, regulatory changes, and contract events as they emerge.

    Account onboarding

    Week 1
    • We become an authorized agent on every utility account in scope
    • Direct credentials, letter of authorization, or third-party data agreement, depending on utility
    • No portal access from your side required at this stage
  2. PHASE 02

    Data ingestion and baseline

    Weeks 1 to 3
    • Twelve to twenty-four months of bills pulled directly from each utility
    • Interval data pulled where available (demand-metered accounts)
    • Each bill OCR-extracted, line-item parsed, and reconciled against the active tariff
    • Annualized baseline produced for every account
  3. PHASE 03

    Finding pipeline

    Weeks 2 to 6
    • Twenty-seven distinct finding categories run against every account
    • Every flag reviewed by a human analyst before it becomes a client-visible finding
    • Findings prioritized by dollar-yield, recovery probability, and timeline
  4. PHASE 04

    Recovery and optimization

    Weeks 4 to 16
    • Recovery claims filed with utilities, municipalities, and program administrators
    • Tariff switches initiated where ROI is clear
    • Program enrollments processed (demand response, community solar, efficiency rebates)
    • Tax exemption certificates filed where eligibility exists
  5. PHASE 05

    Reporting and verification

    Quarterly thereafter
    • Quarterly executive summary delivered to finance and operations
    • Every recovered dollar tracked through utility settlement
    • Annualized savings reconciled against the baseline
    • New findings surfaced as they emerge in the data pipeline
  6. PHASE 06

    Continuous monitoring

    Ongoing
    • Every new bill flows through the finding pipeline automatically
    • Active PSC and PUC proceedings tracked; bill impacts calculated and recovered
    • Contract renewals managed before auto-rollover
    • New incentive programs surfaced as funding windows open
